Hoje na Gulbenkian.

"A Flauta Mágica" foi provavelmente a primeira ópera de Mozart que ouvi completa e, curiosamente, em sueco, no filme de Bergman que assumia, nessa tradução, as intenções do compositor austríaco de fazer uma ópera popular e acessível. A versão concerto de hoje na Gulbenkian é a de René Jacobs com a Akademie Für Alte Musik de Berlim e o RIAS-Kammerchor. Esperam-se maravilhas. Zu Hilfe! zu Hilfe! sonst bin ich verloren!

Abaixo fica um pequeníssimo documentário em que René Jacobs fala da gravação para a Harmonia Mundi e a ópera completa na Royal Opera House de Convent Garden pela mão de Colin Davies.

A Galeria Saatchi de Londres selecionou no seu site um conjunto de obras que reuniu sob o título genérico "Inspired By Edward Hopper". Sendo os quadros de Hopper tão conhecidos, populares, partilhados e citados, o conjunto arrisca frequentemente a imitação barata ou o simples pastiche, usando aquilo que é mais fácil em Hopper: as cores, o realismo, o lado urbano. Há em alguns, contudo, outros elementos mais difíceis: a solidão desesperada, a violência da alienação, a geometria quase abstrata.
