Before he fought in the galactic battles of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Adam Driver was a United States Marine with 1/1 Weapons Company. He tells the story of how and why he became a Marine, the complex transition from soldier to civilian — and Arts in the Armed Forces, his nonprofit that brings theater to the military. Because, as he says: "Self-expression is just as valuable a tool as a rifle on your shoulder." Followed by a spirited performance of Marco Ramirez's "I am not Batman" by Jesse J. Perez and Matt Johnson.
Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke's Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire. Although Obi-Wan sacrifices himself in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader, his former apprentice, Luke proves that the Force is with him by destroying the Empire's dreaded Death Star.

On Sunday, May 17 , Penn Law hosted its graduation ceremony in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center. The Class of 2015 Commencement Address was delivered by Cass Sunstein. Sunstein is currently the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard Law School, and from 2009 to 2012, he was Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, which plays a key role in coordinating the review of federal regulations.
Sunstein delivered a “Star Wars” themed address about the twists and turns in life. “We see patterns in our law, but we are responsible for them,” said Sunstein, “We are not finding them. We are creating them.”
In a new video, Even Puschak talks about the rise of the serialization genre, from Dickens to Flash Gordon to General Hospital to Star Wars. Now that our entertainment is increasingly serialized, he argues that audiences have a unique opportunity to shape what we watch. (Case in point: the increased importance of non-white and non-male characters in The Force Awakens and Rogue One.)
On December 18th 2015, right on The Force Awakens premiere, Moullinex played an one-off Star Wars by Moullinex show. Taking Meco's classic 1977 "Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk" as a basis for the his arrangement, Luis set up a stormtrooper division and played this medley based on John Williams' music at Lux Fragil in Lisbon, Portugal.
A Tale of Many Franchises".
A paráfrase de Dickens, é propositada:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
